Sage's botanical name comes from the Latin word salvere, which means to be saved. Deeply cleansing and camphorous, softened by a hint of sweetness. Over 900 species of Sage exist worldwide, with 19 native to California—including Hummingbird Sage, Pitcher Sage, Black Sage, Purple Sage, and White Sage, all growing wild at the Estate.
